For those of you that have seen Fight Club, you will readily know what I am talking about.
For those of you that haven't, but have the same affliction, will know what I am talking about, too.
I've seen three movies in the past week and have caught nearly every splice.
And it drives me absolutely crazy.
It was the worst in The Weatherman (at least 6 times).
Not as bad in Walk The Line (twice) and pretty bad in Harry Potter (four times).
From now on, I judge a movie not only on content, but the number of times I catch the splices.
Because if it is that obvious, I must not be very enthralled by the film itself.
So Gaaby took me out to dinner and a movie to celebrate.
Harry Potter was cool, but there were two girls, about 12 years old, sitting next to us
that talked through the entire movie. Gabe kept shushing them, but they never noticed.
This morning my ears are plugged. What did you say? I can't hear you.
And it is snowing, really coming down. I think I will count this as the first official snow.
Last year the day before Thanksgiving, Mike and I were caravaning out to his step-Aunt's place in GR
and we got like a foot. It took us 5 hours to get there. It was crazy but beautiful when we woke up.
I wonder if the same will happen.
Tomorrw is Thanksgiving and Gabe & I are going to see the Lions play. I hope they fare better than the last game.
Then we'll rush to his parents for dinner, then up to Flint for the party.
Keep the roads safe!

The poor splices were probably just from lazy untrained movie theatre technicians.

I always notice the black & yellow dot, then the second one, then i wait for the splice.
So it's not necessarily the projectionists' fault, it is my own :/
